I received my AA-T in Kinesiology from Los Angeles Valley College for transfer in 2020.
Kinesiology is the study of the art and science of human movement throughout our lifespan. Kinesiology provides areas of study for me in teaching (pedagogy), coaching, group fitness, personal training, health/fitness promotion, exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor learning and development, athletic training, sports management, dance, adapted physical education, sports psychology, sports nutrition, and exercise.
Zumba® Basic Level 1 Instructor Training allows me to teach the foundation and formula of a Zumba® class.
I am able to teach four basic rhythms (merengue, salsa, cumbia and reggaeton); and teach them in a Zumba® class.
In May 2022, I received my Bachelor's in Kinesiology for Dance. I was a Star Dance Kinesiology Graduate and I graduated with Cum Laude Honors.
The dance discipline of Kinesiology is dedicated to the study of human movement and physical activity as it relates to sport, dance and exercise. It provides a basis for dance experience and potential employment opportunities in the field of performance, choreography and teaching.
